Varia Suit

I decided to post about this because I keep getting search results for my blog about Samus.  This isn’t the best costume, but it’s pretty good for what it is.  I also have a zero suit Samus that I keep forgetting to take pictures of.

Who:  Samus Aran Varia Suit

What I did: Used papier mache for the helmet and shoulder pads and shaped the rest of the armor from foam core.  The gun is made from varying sized oatmeal containers, and the helmet face shield is from a melted, promotional, neon-green coca cola cup from 1998.  For a quick and fun costume, this was perfect, and I made it in a few days.
