I finally figured out the manual settings for my camera. I never really spent the time to investigate the mechanisms, because I hate reading manuals, and I never had the patience or time to go through my camera anyways. Well, it was very simple, and now (well not now) I can take more beautiful photos than ever before without the hindering effects of autofocus.
