Yesterday, was amazing.
Colin and I had a hot date, although we never officially called it one. We went down to Columbia on our way home to St. Louis and we ate at El Rancho and then I took him to go SHOOTING. We went to this really great place and shot like a hundred rounds of a revolver!
Us at El Rancho, looking oh so hot.
& then some action shots:
We started off shooting the first 50 or so rounds at 21 feet (which I totally dominated at) but then we moved on to 45 and 75 feet (which I did so terribly at). Pretty much, you don’t want to be near me 21 feet or closer but as soon as you’re 30 or more feet away, you’re guaranteed to be safe. Colin totally rocked it at all levels. We started off on the same sheet, but then we competed against each other on our own separate targets.
Afterwards, I met his family, and I mean like, his grandparents, too, and then he took me out to Ghengis Grill (lol) with his brother and friends. fun, fun, fun, fun &&&& fun. We went back to his place and watched American Psycho and then played Starcraft & Nazi Zombies, a mini-game from Call of Duty on his Xbox 360. For the first time, I didn’t want to do a 180.
So, now I’m at the airport, waiting for my flight out to Minnesota, where I’ll transfer to my flight into Seattle. It’s weird. 10 months ago, I went through all of the same checkpoints, all of the same gates, and sat in the same areas. I was so sad and unsure of what I was doing and just a total mess. Now I’m heading through it all, completely confident, fortunate, and under entirely different circumstances. It’s weird how far I’ve come, and the incredible experiences I’ve encountered and overcome since. I can’t believe how utterly…happy, I am right now.
